How much does it cost to book Chubs Food Truck?
$29.99 per person with a 40 guest minimum, plus a $200 chef fee. Over 100 guests there's an additional $200 chef fee. Travel is free within 20 miles of our Smithtown shop. NY sales tax (8.75%) applies, and gratuity is not included.
What's the minimum number of guests?
40 guests. For 400 or more, call us at 631-265-5076 so we can plan staffing.
What's on the menu?
All five items come with every event: Philly cheesesteaks, French dip heroes, smash burgers, hot chicken sliders and buttermilk tenders. Guests order what they want from the window and everything is cooked to order.
How do I hold a date?
Send the date, headcount and location through the form on our site or call 631-265-5076 and ask for Thomas. Once we confirm, a $100 deposit holds the date.
Is the deposit refundable?
No. The $100 deposit is non-refundable because once a date is booked we turn down other events for it. It is applied to your final balance, and it can be moved to another food truck date if you reschedule. It can't be applied to shop catering or anything else.
When is the balance due and how do I pay?
The balance is due on the day of the event, settled on site. We take cash or credit card — no checks. Card payments have a 3.99% processing fee. We don't take payments online.
Does paying cash avoid sales tax?
No. 8.75% NY sales tax applies to every booking whether you pay cash or card. Paying cash only saves the 3.99% card fee.
Is gratuity included?
No, gratuity is not included in the price.
How far will the truck travel?
Travel is measured from our Smithtown shop. Within 20 miles is free, 20–40 miles is $150 and 40–60 miles is $300. Past 60 miles, the East End or NYC, we quote it.
What do you need at the event location?
Level ground and space to park the truck. The truck is fully self-contained. We arrive early, set up, cook to order and clean up after.
Do you park and sell to the public?
No. Chubs Food Truck only does private events — weddings, parties and corporate events. We don't street vend.
Who runs the truck?
Butchers. The truck is part of Chubs Meats & Catering Co., with shops in Medford, Ronkonkoma and Smithtown. We cut the meat in our own shops, then cook it at your event.
